Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, a few hours from Toronto, and the center of the hockey universe; I am a diehard Leafs fan. I have played organized and rec hockey since the age of nine learning to skate on the family pond on the farm. After graduating college in 2001 focusing on robotics, I proceeded to travel the US, Europe and Africa for the next 7 years until I landed on the Gulf coast. I now live in Hancock County with my wife and numerous children, with the youngest two playing hockey in Biloxi for the past 3 seasons. My family and I enjoy spending time on our farm where we raise rabbits, chickens and goats, as well as going camping when time allows; always make an effort to catch at least one professional hockey game each season.

I was born in Nashville, TN and raised in northeastern PA. I began playing hockey in high school and continued to play through college at the U.S. Naval Academy. My coaching experience spans 10 years across various programs including Brunswick, ME, Tampa, FL, and two previous stints on the MS Gulf Coast (Junior Surge and Aces). Hockey is the greatest sport on the planet and by far the #1 sport in the Slaff family. We are die-hard New York Islanders fans and we enjoy watching all the hockey we can (except for the NY Rangers...because they are super gross). This will be my first year with the Junior Sea Wolves. I'm very excited to be back and look forward to continuing to help grow and develop youth hockey on the MS Gulf Coast. Go Sea Wolves...HOWL YEAH!

Born and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota, this is where Tessa first fell in love with hockey and the Chicago Blackhawks. She then lived in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula for 4 years in an area deeply rich in hockey culture. Her son, Ben, started skating at age 3 and playing hockey at age 4 in Michigan. She moved to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi five years ago and was very excited to find a youth hockey program here. She has been volunteering with the program since 2018. Outside of hockey, she works for Catapult Learning as a PD Specialist. Tessa loves being a part of the Jr Sea Wolves!

I grew up in Northern New Jersey (Go Devils!!!!). Hockey was my first love and I have played most

of my life. There was not a lot of ice time so my concentration was roller hockey and deck hockey. I served in the Air Force for 30 years before my family and I decided to settle on the Gulf Coast and retire. All of my kids grew up playing hockey and continue to do so. My family and I enjoy spending time together swimming and enjoying the outdoors. We are huge hockey fans and season ticket holders to the Seawolves.

DJ fell in love with Hockey while growing up in Pittsburgh, PA following his beloved Penguins. Although never playing Hockey outside of neighborhood pickup games of street hockey, until the ripe old age of 30, then recruited to play for the local men's late night leagues. DJ has two boys who are currently playing in PA. DJ has been an on ice coach since the beginning of the Learn to Play program in Pittsburgh and continues to be a Level III USA Hockey Certified Coach. DJ is the Chief Financial Officer at Keesler Federal Credit Union and enjoys boating and traveling to watch his boys play this fantastic game along side Hockey Mom, Megan.
